Yrmenweald

Description
The Yrmenweald, or the Master Staff, was the physical link between the mysterious power of the keseth and the anhekovel, or Child Staves, that were spread throughout the empire. The link between the anhekovel and the Yrmenweald was accomplished by the inherent abilities of the cwicustan. The link between the keseth and the Yrmenweald was a secret of magic that was purposefully hidden by the Clear Fire Weavers who performed that magic. Thus, when the cwicustan globe atop the Yrmenweald was smashed by the vanquished Osgeofu, severing its link to the keseth, no one could re-forge that link, and the power of the keseth was lost to the empire.
