Mariencap

Description
A prominent mountain in the extensive Darst Range, the Mariencap is a hard day's journey south from the settlement in Northern Hope (the distance is estimated as twenty leagues as the crow flies, but much more on foot). A hidden sinkhole with volcanic hot springs lies at its foot, and a canyon follows a mountain stream from there toward the mountain's western shoulder, where a ruined abandoned settlement can be found. A cave near the settlement was the place where Anarr found the cursed statue of Gow that was the source of Northern Hope's reknowned ill luck.
