Description
Tall, thin, older man with long arms and long legs. He has unkempt stringy brown hair with a scraggly grey beard. He has traveled far and wide, learned all he could about magic, and finally settled in Dargon. Somewhere along his life, Niatha entered into it and became his best friend. He chose to travel with Raphael Etrigan who searched for his wife. When they finally find her, they are caught in the middle of a battle and Merrif is seriously injured. To preserve his spirit Ljosalfar warriors transform him into an Eelail in )ber 1017.
