Description
A monetary system that pre-dates the King's Standard in Baranur. Still used in other countries in Cherisk (e.g. Mandraka). The Shapkan system is out of vogue in the more civilized parts of Baranur, and is gradually losing value. Still the preferred coin in some remote locations. It consistes of a gold Crona, silver Astra, copper Sol, and bronze Drin (plural Drina). A (copper) Shapkan Sol is the rough equivalent of the (copper) Baranurian Royal.
