It looks like we're probably going to rent a passenger car and then use my car as well. This gives us some extra flexibility, and doesn't hurt us much, as we're not going to be spending 
all that much time driving.

In investigating a rental van for the Summit, I'm discovering that passenger vans are both rare and expensive here in Portland, Oregon, costing upwards of $1000 for the weekend when they are even available. May I propose that perhaps we should consider two smaller vehicles instead? And, if this is the case, would anyone be interested in separate airport runs to accommodate the varied schedules? I know we prefer one vehicle, typically -- but, remembering the van from last year, conversations in the front of the van are inaudible in the rear of the van, and visa versa. Would this be an adequate solution?
