I have finally placed the down payment on the housing for the Summit. It will be the "Slack Tide"  and "Slack Tide Two" properties as advertised earlier:

The total cost for these rentals (of which I have paid half as a deposit):

Slack Tide, maximum occupancy 12.  Reservation Total: $1623.75 
For 5 nights, arrival July 10th and departure July 15th, 2008.
 
Slack Tide Too, maximum occupancy 8.  Reservation Total: $942.50
For 3 nights, arrival July 11th and departure July 14th, 2008.

Please note that the largest group we can accommodate at any one time is 12. This INCLUDES for meetings (not just for sleeping). I don't anticipate this being a problem, but I just wanted to state that.

Note that the actual Summit dates are, as always, Saturday and Sunday. I have booked the housing for longer dates so that folks who want a longer experience of the Summit can indulge. We will work out an equitable distribution of the expense for housing based on occupancy per person, with the costs to be settled off-list. Non-Summit events and entertainment, as well as Summit events and entertainment can now be negotiated! I have some ideas of my own, and I welcome ideas from you all!
