Well, you raise a good point, so let me state my position on it, both as
someone who is running the show and as someone who has tried to get
consensus out of the group a number of times. My take is, given an
opportunity to respond, silence equals agreement. That opportunity
should vary, based on the impact of the change, though. So, if someone
decides they want to kill off the duke and make Dargon a democracy,
there ought to be a big window. The calendar thing really isn't hugely
impactful, and I think you have given it a fair time window.

You also touched on the "nothing ever gets done" complaint. Often
(though not in this case) the person making that complaint seems to
think that there is a vast support group who will tend to any suggestion
they make. My take on that is that if you want it, you own it, with the
exception of any password protected webwork. Victor, you have stepped up
to own this one, so thanks for that.

I say go for it. You constraints should be canon. Anything else can be
ignored, though if there are things such as the new reader intro, that
need changing, let me know. Note that not even the glossary is canon.
Those entries can be changed as well. If you would like to send me
glossary and other web items that need fixing, I will take care of
updating them.
