Some could take the same stance when trying to add generic fantasy  
elements like "Ogres" to a unique fantasy world. However you didn't  
see anyone threatening to quit over that.

Drop you from everything? As in you'll leave DZ over a marketing move?  
You and Carlo are the ones who are constantly berating DZ for not  
capitalizing on marketing trends. Doing ONE publicity stunt (which  
isn't even guaranteed to work) gives you an upset stomach?

Threatening to quit over something the majority of writers haven't  
even weighed in on seems a little extreme to me...
