[Dargon-writers-list] Strange Publicity Stunt- Pros, Cons

I think we've agreed in the past (after I raised it once or twice) that
we would cross the "too many writers to manage" bridge when we come to it.

I think there are only two possible outcomes of "works" and "doesn't
work, fails, etc", operating under the assumption that we actual submit
something to Steven Colbert:

1. It gets ignored
2. It gets on the show, and we get light-heartedly mocked as fan-boy
dweebs. Anyone who's ever watched Colbert's show has to know that's
where it will go. To Victor's point, though, that gets us some
attention, which probably leads to subscriptions and maybe writers.

Bunch of work? Nah. One person writes a story about the ambassador from
Colbertia visiting Dargon or something, a few rounds of crits, then one
letter or email to Colbert's show and we are done. Written right, it's
done as an inside joke, so anyone coming because they saw it on
Colbert's show gets it, and everyone else just sees it as another Dargon
story.

We certainly have our share of inside jokes. Heck, we have a town called
Miass.
